Sample Agenda

Below is a copy of the Katy Toastmasters Agenda for May 15, 2014. If you have wondered about what goes on at a Toastmasters meeting this is an excellent road map.

Usually a meeting will have a theme that is more or less loosely defined. Omar De La Cruz was the Toastmaster for this meeting and chose the theme "Back In The Day".

Our Grammarian, Cynthia Westbrook, offered us the Word of the Day "Memories" which complimented Omar's theme very well. Speakers are encouraged to incorporate this word into their speeches and presentations.

The meetings have three main elements and components:

1. Prepared Speeches ( III. Prepared Speeches)
2. Table Topics (IV. Table Topics)
3. Evaluations (V. Evaluations)

To the right on the agenda you will note the time allotted for each part of the agenda. Our Timer keeps the meeting on track and on time.
